Just 25 minutes Northeast of Seattle, Prohibition Cellars is located in Woodinville’s Warehouse District, home to some of Washington’s finest wineries.
Its founder, Sandor Faludi, designed the tasting room to be as unique as their wines. The winery is an exclusive tasting experience, complete with a tour of their production area behind the hidden door.
This just in! Wine Panel score on the 2018 Prohibition Cellars "Hatchet" Cabernet - $65 - 92 Points
Winemaker Sandor Faludi, born in Hungary, whose wine experience in Sonoma and Napa ignited a passion, yet he fell in love with Washington and is now making a big initial impression in Woodinville Wine Country. He proudly states you could lay this Cabernet down 10-15 years, if you can wait that long, and he's not kidding. This is a big, dense Cabernet with plenty of dark fruit, but also with a strong backbone of tannin. If you can't wait for it to mellow a bit, decant it for at least a few hours before enjoying. Sourced from Stillwater Creek Vineyard, the wine is well-made and will reward those who can tuck it away for a few years. Only 53 cases produced. 92 Points in the +45 Category - The Wine Panel.
