How to Bachelorette in Bothell

What better place to celebrate your best friend getting hitched than in Bothell, tucked away between popular Woodinville Wine Country and the foothills of the Cascades. Bothell’s diverse offerings make it the perfect bachelorette party destination for the food-loving, wine-drinking and outdoorsy bride to be. Check out our weekend itinerary for your Bothell bachelorette party and sign-up for our Gal Pal Getaway for special deals on drinking, dining, and accommodations.

Where to Eat:

Bothell is known for its incredible bakeries and farm-to-table eateries. Kick-off the morning of your bachelorette weekend with a little bit of both from Alexa’s Cafe. This Bothell staple serves comfort breakfast food all day, every day, and scrumptious baked goods made in-house. If the bride to be is an egg benedict maven, then you’ve come to the right place. The menu offers 5 styles of eggs benedict including classic, crab, veggie, NW and florentine–you can’t go wrong with any. Make sure to arrive early or call ahead of time because this place is a popular morning spot.

Next up on the list is The Cottage. Grub on classic all American dining in a funky and cozy setting. The menu rotates seasonally, with everything made in-house or sourced from a local farm and their drink menu is diverse and expansive. Get experimental with a lavender latte (it's to die for) or shake things up with a morning margarita. This place is perfect at any hour of the day, but The Cottage comes alive at night. Enjoy happy hour from 4-6 pm any day of the week and catch live music on the weekends. This place is perfect for dinner, music and a nightcap.

The future bride must celebrate her departure from singlehood at Russells, the best restaurant in town for a celebration dinner. Located in a majestic renovated dairy barn from the 20s, this unique dining experience is one for the books. Feast upon delicious seafood–crab cakes, seasonally foraged mushrooms, New Bedford sea scallops, and Whidbey Island Penn Cove mussels–while sipping on some of the finest wine from the Pacific Northwest. The menu is suitable for all party-goers with options for land, sea, and veggie lovers. Make sure to reserve a table before the big weekend since this is a treasured dining destination.

What to Do:

No trip is complete in Bothell without an outdoor adventure. For low-key nature lovers, visit the beautiful Sammamish River Trail, an excellent trail along the Sammamish River that starts in Bothell, winds through Woodinville and ends in Marymoor Park. The total distance is 10.9 miles and it’s the perfect place to bask in the sunshine, walk around, peddle about or set up a picnic. It’s easily accessible, well-maintained, and perfect for all levels of outdoorswomen.

If your group is itching for more of an adventure, visit Mount Pilchuck for awesome trails and grand panoramic views. The ascent is an intermediate, but relatively short hike totaling 2.7 miles. If you make it to the lookout, you’ll be rewarded with the most stunning 360-views of the Pacific Northwest’s holy trinity–Mount Baker, Mount Rainier, and the Olympics.

Where to Drink:

Make your way to neighboring Woodinville Wine Country, only 10 minutes from downtown Bothell with nearly 100 wineries to choose from, for some modest debauchery with your girls! Most wineries are open during the day, so arrive early and make a day of it. If you want to make the most of your time in Woodinville, we suggest you take advantage of our Sip & Stay package where you can taste your way through Washington Wine Country at an unbeatable value. Receive up to two complimentary Passes from Woodinville Wine Country when you book a minimum two-night stay in participating Bothell hotels. Santé!

Where to Stay:

Book your stay at what was once Bothell’s first junior high but has been revitalized to a hip boutique hotel, McMenamins Anderson School Hotel. It’s art-deco style and built-in opportunities for food, drink, and fun makes it the perfect spot to crash as you and your girls take over Bothell. Check their calendar before booking your stay to find out about their events and live music options. And most importantly, be sure to take a soak in McMenamins’ North Shore Lagoon heated swimming pool. Sip on tiki drinks poolside and reminisce on your Bothell bachelorette extravaganza.
